Public Service Announcement

Christmas starts on December 25th. It ends twelve days later on the eve of the Epiphany. Advent starts on December 2nd this year. It starts four Sundays before Christmas and is therefore of varying length. However, Advent has never been long enough to start the day after Halloween. That is mathematically impossible.

They've been advertising Christmas stuff here for weeks now. I always make a mental note never to shop in stores that jump the gun, though sometimes I forget.

Christmas is fun when it is celebrated over, at most, two weeks. Any longer than that dilutes the holiday and makes it wearily mundane.

Amen!! They could at least wait until after Thanksgiving. There's a neighborhood down the street from us that put up wreaths and red ribbons on their neighborhood entry the day after Halloween. Ridiculous!!!

I get annoyed when I see Christmas stuff next to Halloween stuff. At least it's November now.

I like Christmas to sneak up on me. As long as I have my shopping done, that is!

That's it. We're all banding together to change the world. I'll be taking suggestions for names.
